Why so many White GT3's???

IMHO part of the answer may lay in the fact that many GT3 buyers are racers at heart. White has a definite connection to racing thus an inclination for that color.
I think white shows the contours of the 3 better than any other color, in particular the recesses and nuances of the bumpers. Also it makes a perfect match for the front gray spoiler.
All that said I went for Jet Black.

non metallic white is WHITE, not eggshell white/gray/beige
metallic white is brighter with met flakes, more pop

Love that photo of the 25 917s. Cool backstory too. The FIA says prove to us you built 25 cars, Porsche lined them up April 1 1969. Offered to let the FIA rep drive one and he said no.
Yeah that's a good reason to get white.

'Carrara White'...
It's not 'Carrera'...like the 'Carrera Panamericana' Mexican road race from which 'Carrera' was adopted by Porsche, first for it's engines in the 1950's, and then its vehicles ever since! The only 'Carrera' name in a recent Porsche color history was for an interior leather color - 'Carrera Red' - which is no longer offered having been replaced with 'Garnet Red'.
If you want to know the difference between 'Carrara White', 'Carrara White Metallic' and the current 'White', I suggest you read Rennlister OrthoJoe's excellent thread on this subject:

I like how pure white CWM looks (the lack of yellow), BUT I don't like the glittery finish up close (not race car, looks more like a surface coating and less "deep" than the non-metallic colors, and hard to color match down the line).

Own many black cars and GT3s look incredible in black.......but that pic inside is about the best it will look, impossible to keep looking nice especially after many track days.

Just have to know how to maintain them...it's not rocket science.
Anyways post a pic of those three F-cars--that's awesome! Cheers

my white gt3 was my first white car ever. I just wanted a change. black shows everything and it's high maintenance. I must admit I think the dark blue looks amazing and it's pretty rare. I think that would be my second choice. In any case, happy that I have a GT3 and I'd take one in almost any color.
