Wow, great car and great pictures! Makes my recent photos look like caca!
I recognize that turn out off highway 1, and of course all the scenery from multiple road trips up 1 since high school. No better driver's road anywhere, as long as there isn't traffic!

Glad everyone enjoyed the photos! It might be time to actually buy a more 'sophisticated' camera. Who knew a GoPro could go so far??
I actually was planning on going with Sapphire Blue Metallic but there was a black/black GT3 at the dealer when I arrived to finalize the order. It took me 30 seconds to change my mind…..
Good eye on this. Actually, that was the paint situation from the delivery. It's been sorted and looks stunning now.
RadDBonz - the TT RS is for sale and somewhat bridges the gap to a practical daily-driver. Shoot me a note and I can tell you all about the car. It's been awesome but is time to let it go. Looking for used Q5's at the moment for the drive to Tahoe…. or that new Focus RS!!
Here's a photo I took just the other night at the Marin Headlands north of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's one of my favorites!

Nice photos and beautiful car.
1) Are the pictures with the Lotus race car at GMG?
2) It's possible that the detailer who polished the car did not do a good job. In the 3/4 view you can see what appears to be rotary polish burn all over the rear bumper. Or perhaps that was the before pic? Easy to fix, but this is a common error with people using rotary polishers. Almost did not want to mention this, but thought I'd bring it to your attention since this really bothers me when cars are prepped this way. If these are just reflections in the paint from the sky or something, feel free to tell me to STFU!

Jonathan,
Thank very much for this detailed write up and amazing pictures!!! It was our pleasure helping you with this project.
That picture was taken before we applied the clear bra. Ryan at Protective Films Solutions noticed that there were defects in the paint from the factory.
Thank you Road Racing. We are definitely thankful to have great partners such as Ryan at Protective Films Solutions nearby.

Grate photo near the bridge. My favorite is the one with the blurred lights.
