GT3 Tools and Gear

Hi guys,
As my GT3 is on a boat, I started ordering parts and tools for it. In doing so, I've been reading lots of threads, which is very tedious. I was thinking it would be nice to have a single source for the most common items, and even links to where to buy some of them. I'll start out with the things I've purchased, but please reply below with any other tools, consumables, or miscellaneous items that you use on your GT3. I'll update this main post to include them all.

All suggestions added. If there are alternatives to what I added for each category, let me know. I mostly just added the things I own.

I have been buying Optimoly TA paste in tins from Motobins. https://www.motobins.co.uk part# 95805. This is much more economical than the tubes.

Added.

I also added exhausts. I will add anything else anyone posts, but I'll probably stop replying to all of them so the thread can remain as suggestions. I think the only thing I would avoid if rims.

Be sure to buy an extra CL socket. It will make it much easier on you if you have the socket already on the breaker bar and torque wrench. An extra set of CL nuts is quite nice too. That way, you can always have a spare set ready to go, pre-lubed. And don't even bother with that stupid truck brake pedal depressor. I bought one and it never worked well enough and then promptly broke. The Irwin clamp is perfect. And last, but not least, buy some surgical gloves. They keep that nasty Optomoly paste off your hands.

I'm old-school, I like the easy to read analog tire gauge:

Nice list. Add to the list that you'll need to get some cup car shims for running extra negative camber

SmokinGTS 01-27-2015 10:52 PM

Cup car shims, Yes ...........

Manifold 01-27-2015 10:57 PM

I'd add Trofeo R tires: http://www.bobwoodmantires.com/p-zero-trofeo/

Expensive as $#%* though!

orthojoe 01-27-2015 11:03 PM

Stick with MPSC2! They are awesome.
