You guys are funny. I think North Americans should lobby PAG to offer "full xpel wrap" from factory as an option. An alternative would be to supply the car to USA customers "sans paint" for DIY PTS via full vinyl wrap. It must be a difference in car culture but I've never seen a fully clear wrapped 911 at my dealer that I recall!
I'm not saying it's a bad thing but in NZ we have twice the UV than in the states so anything warrantied for 5 years up there will be lucky to get 24 months down here.
All of that said those factory clear fender protectors went yellow within 30 days driving in Europe. I had FD motorsports order a factory one to template some highbqualityvreplacements which I guess I should have installed some time soon...

BTW, does something like cquartz or some other kind of treatment minimize the line from filling with dirt like that. My car isn't even that dirty in that general area, but the line has filled with dirt.

I think you will get that buildup regardless although it might come off a little easier with a treatment. Liberally spray with a detailer product, wrap a microfiber towel around the tip of your finger, and run it along the edge of that seam. It will clean away the schmutz....

Yeah but that's why they invented paint to protect the metal. Now it's vogue to put plastic over paint to protect the paint (and loose some of the shine) then we go to cquartz and other product to protect the plastic - next will be plastic on plastic - maybe better to have replica made to drive on the road no? :-)
