I had and have the sport chrono in all my porsche that I ordred. However I don't think its worth the head or money to retrofit it. Agree buy yourself a nice watch instead

Reviving an old thread. I’m buying 2015 GT3 that doesn’t have Sport Chrono and found a sport chrono clock/housing on eBay from a 2016 RS. Looks like this can be done from earlier posts. Can someone tell me if my car is prewired and there is a plug, or do I need to buy a harness. My friend has the durametric tool/software so I assuming he can activate or program it? Thanks in advance!

don't know about the harness. But the durametric will not be able to program anything on the 991.1/991.2 GT3's. In fact it can't even read the ECU. Any programming needs to be done by a dealer with the PIWIS tool.

I feel that it completes the dash but if i didn’t have it i wouldn't miss it that much.

Thanks guys. I just need it to work as a clock, to complete the look of the dash. I'll be using Harry's lap timer on track and might upgrade to a Solo in the future.

Never ordered one, never missed it. Plus, I don’t like it. Dash and PCM tell time anyways.

Any updates from anyone who has done this? I too do not need any additional functionality
