Is it legal to have the yellow painted reflective white? I like the black plate but would like white letters, I'm having my PCCBs painted red (to match my red belts, dials and stitching).

Come on, is that really a serious question?

If you already have a non personalized plate and order a non personalized legacy plate for the same car, do they give you the number you had or a new one?

Good question... Tough to understand from website. It would seem logical that there wouldn't be two plates (legacy and normal) with same number sequence, so for sure they don't want two of the same in circulation. However, Website says you have to exchange your plates when you get your new ones, so it's plausible from that perspective that you could have the same ones if that's what your ordered. I don't want to lose my current vanity plates (JALOPNK) so im hoping there is a way to hold on to them.

Anyone know anything different?

CA DMV cashes your check ASAP. It doesn't correspond to your plate actually shipping. My check has been cashed for the better part of a year. Read some where that we probably won't see the plates until the latter part of this year.

Waiting here too. I've got a white car but hoping those colors will look good with my black wheels and PCCBs. Also kind of like that the black plates come from the 60s, when the first 911s came out.

I'm pretty sure I read that the randomly-assigned ones won't be here until June or July (if my memory is right) -- and that the custom ones start printing after those are done.

So, months to go.
