I find Patrick to be very enthusiastic and he's a great face for racing in general.
As to bringing "welcome publicity and sponsorship to a series that's struggling financially," if you're referring to USSC, USCAR, TUDOR, IMSA it's not clear what the Dempsey Racing level of involvement will be in 2015.
Dempsey Racing is looking to expand in Europe and run FIA WEC.

My wife and I attended the Rolex 24, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and Petit le Mans at Road Atlanta this year and Dempsey is one of the racers we follow. Sure hope Dempsey Racing remains engaged with sports car racing in the US.

I was at Petit, spoke with him briefly last year and this year.

wow, some of you guys are taking posts on a public forum about a celebrity racer way too seriously. Lighten up... There is a gray area between loving something and hating it...

If I had his access to funds and time I'd probably do the same thing. BTW I believe he's now pretty sensitive to the economics of racing--saw him in the Embassy Suites buffet line at the USGP two years ago😁

Wait wait wait it wasn't too long ago Patrick was the Conductor of his own "Porsche Train" at the track days about four or five years ago. I remember when somene would see him pull up at an event and think "oh crap, here he comes again"! But through proper training and perseverance, AND MONEY, he's been able to achieve a lot. To imagine if you or I had the resources ole Patrick did you or I could do the same thing. Putting together a team that can race at the 24 Hours of le Mans and fund it cost a silly amout even at the slowest tier of cars that are racing.

Multi class racing is not easy. The 911 is not super competitive right now. Think Patrick has performed extremely well.

The filing timing says something. While he's out racing at Daytona.
