Default Steering column leather

Can anyone please post a photo (not computer graphic) of a 991 steering column in leather with red deviated stitching?

I thought Alexio or Eduardo had posted one several months ago?

I don't see the red stitching on the steering column in the above pic...

This is the photo that Carrera GT's link is to. This column belongs to JCBH - I ordered this option to along with full leather and red stitching. It looks so awesome!

I think this is the greatest "bang for the buck" leather option - the instrument surround is not! Don't bother with that...there is one little bit of stitching on that one, and for some reason the stitching is black on the instrument surround (can hardly see it). The steering column in leather/stitching option is a nice touch that you will enjoy each time you drive the car, as it is right in front of you!

Is the red stitching on the central air vents, as shown in this picture, optional, or is that included in the full leather package?

That's an optional addition. Too busy, IMO

Vivian:

The 'Full leather' option on a Porsche is anything but 'full' after cursory review. You can clearly see that a 991 has many additional leather options in the configurator...even for the track-oriented gt3. The option in question (attachment #1 below) is Code CDN. It's shown on the gt3 configurator as attachment 2, but its better displayed in the configurator for the regular 991 (attachment 3). It's a great option since it brings a bit of your exterior color 'inside' the cabin and adds the decorative stitching & leather all around the vents. But it is expensive at $1720 (attachment 4).

In the 997, it was available from 'Porsche Exclusive' too....but it didn't have the leather surrounds or decorative stitching. But it cost much less too - around $1K! I had it on my 997 and thought it look accenting exterior PTS 'Signal Green' inside the cabin (attachment 5). But it's all a matter of personal taste and choice. What others might find 'too busy', might be just exactly the ticket for you! Go with your gut feeling and personal view of color & contrast in your interior!

Nevertheless, the best leather value for the dollar or euro in 'Porsche Exclusive' leather options is undoubtedly 'XNS' / 'Steering Column Casing in Leather'. You get quite a bit of plastic covered in leather and with very visible decorative stitching to boot! At $465 (see attachment 6), it's a steal...in relation to other options at 'Exclusive'!

Couple of more photos of that last option XNS:

7) On a photo of a 991 I took at 'Porsche Exclusive' in Zuffenhausen in 2013
8) On a photo of my old 997 '12 'Boxster Spyder' which I custom ordered in 2011.

Couple of more photos on Option CDN:
9 & 10) Taken of a 991 at 'Porsche Exclusive' in Zuffenhausen in 2013

For more information on 'Custom Ordering' a 991 and how available options have evolved in that model since it was introduced in late 2011, you might find this link useful:
