Inner door sill guards in leather
anyone order these?.. Never saw this option before, must have escaped me.. Says they have decorative stitching but I can't find any picture or info on them.

As much as I love leather, this is something I wouldn't do because it will be eventually scuffed into oblivion unless one can float into and out of the car.

I've only ever seen this option on two cars. Very cool.
It is NOT the kickplate (door sill guard) with the model name that gets wet. It's the leather around the door sill itself - see photo. It's inside the car and suffers no more significant wear than the rest of the car. Must be combined with deviated stitching to make it most worthwhile.

I stand corrected. It looks very nice and being that it is on the inside it should not have any moisture issues like if it were the sills which I originally thought

Our dealer had two 997.2 Speedsters. Both had the leather inner sills, both were scuffed beyond repair with minimal use. Individual use obviously varies. Check your current inner sill for scuffs.

The GT3 pictured above had about 22k miles.
Some people just don't care and don't take care of their stuff. I've seen low mileage cars with horrible wear on the seats and high mileage cars where the interior was pristine. It's not the leather's fault - it's the owner.

I agree that they look very nice. But you will also need to order option SLPRS to go with them. Otherwise you'll get them scuffed in no time. Here's a photo of SLPRS:
