ToyGuy,

Tell us about the launch control on the 991. How much wheel spin did you get? Was there any axel hop?

I've tried LC in the 991GT3 a few times. Never had wheel hop at all and very little wheel spin. It works very well

Must have been some mighty sticky tires too. Over 2G off the line?

It's simple. No buttons to push. At any time from a standstill, foot on brake. Floor the throttle. Engine revs to 6500. Indicator comes on saying Launch control active. Release brake. Zoom....

I think the Ring battle is a foregone conclusion.

I believe so. Its already taken place and I expect the video to appear soon.

Sabines 997 GT3 RS is very well honed. It has top shelf KW Clubsports with remote reservoirs and has a lighter wheel set with bigger stoppers, SFR and race pads. Its a stripper and weighs in at 1370kg. She knows the car very well indeed and is incredibly quick in it.

The 991 GT3 they are running by comparison is bone stock.

Imagine if she beat her Ring developed 997.2 RS with upgrades using a stock 991 GT3 by 3-4s!

P.S. Im not saying she did Im just exclaiming at what an achievement that would be. The 991 GT3 from what Ive learnt talking to someone who has lapped the ring in it in 7.31 is very easy to drive up to the 95% limit but then is trickier to drive above the limit which is needed to put in a sub 7.30 by a mortal...

Not with PDK-S. No button pushing or mode selection is required. The steps I named above are a shortened version of the exact preconditions for launch control shown in the manual.
