Default Has anyone put his GT3 on a dyno?

I did a search for dyno whp in this forum. I didn't find anything. I was wondering if there was anyone or any shop that put the gt3 (with new engine) on the dyno yet.

I'm just curious what the car is putting down to the wheel. Got my car back about a month, and it feels faster (at least to me).

Didn't put it on a dyno but according to my lap times, mine is not faster with the new engine. In fact, a second or so slower because of the heat.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean faster with the new engine. I meant it feels faster than 475 hp car. Car has a very similar acceleration from 60 mph to 120 mph compared to Gallardo LP 560.

Did anyone ever dyno their car?

^Gotcha, I misunderstood. I agree it feels faster than stated and would like to know as well.

I thought it was difficult to get a real dyno number for a PDK car?? I remember a while back, it needs an AWD dyno to not set off the electronic gizmos.

Why would it be difficult to dyno the car? Why would it need a awd dyno if it's rwd. Even if PDK it's usually done on dyno in 4th gear for any car. Mike

PDK requires the front wheels to be turning, if not the car goes into limp mode. So a 4 wheel dyno is required.

The dyno confuses the computers - when the rear wheels are doing 120mph and the front ones are stationary. Heck, when I put my 997.1 GT3 on a dyno, I had a screen full of error messages for about two days. Then the system somehow reset itself and all was well.

How would a 4wheel dyno help? Nothing would be driving the front wheels.

I have no idea......but this discussion came up a couple of years ago, and I remember the AWD dyno thing.

I'm no expert on dynos, but I always assumed they have no power to turn the rollers, but can just put a load on them. It would take a 4WD car to turn the front rollers.

If you "youtube" 991 dyno, there is a Mustang AWD dyno. PDK still didnt like it. Yes, the front wheels spin too.

We have an AWD dynojet. The rollers are linked with a MASSIVE belt. So while (in most cases) the rear roller is the one that is being spun by the car, the front roller is being spun by the car in a way as well, by way of the belt from the rear roller. It is absolutely necessary to have these new cars on an AWD dyno, and even then, they can still be a big PITA to get accurate numbers on.

The F12 we did, dynoed about 100whp short of what it should have done. Even though all four wheels were moving, the car could sense that it was sitting still, this caused all kinds of craziness to happen with the computers cutting power. The McLaren is equally as complicated.

Thanks for the information! Very good insight!
I'm a curios type of guy by nature,so not that it's related to this thread, but what did you do in the case of the F12 and 12C to get accurate readings?
