This.

If cost is not an issue than go for a GT3. Especially if you are only going to drive it on average 3k miles per year.

How's this. I'm old. Got two grow kids. Two grand kids. And a 16 year old who wants to go to Stanford for music. I told the wife if I bought this GT3 now I'll sell it in three years and the kid can go to Stanford. She bought it. And buying the freaking car on Monday. Why? Life is too short not to have owned one. At least once. And I don't give a damm. I ain't a corvette kind of guy. Yea Porsche

Attention!!! Warning!!!! Do NOT get one!!!! You will have a serious problem in 3 years. You will be hooked and want to keep it or worse you want to buy an RS
I had a C2S in between (different GT3's) and tried to track it. Forget about this if you are used to a GT3(RS) .....

I think you should do a track weekend in you C4S since it sounds like you've never tracked a 911.

If after a weekend or two you think a machine more track focused is what you need and are willing to give up even more compromises on the street, get the GT3. I think you will find that the C4S will be devastatingly fast on track in the big scheme of things.

You are in a GT3 forum and folks have a demented sense of performance, like arguing about 3 seconds on a the 'ring.

On the street, the ride height, stiffness, tires, lack of droptop, and no extra usable torque, to me, would make the GT3 even more compromised on street relative to your current ride. So your decision is all about how much streetability you are willing to give up for your track bug.

Using history as a guide, there tends to be a bunch turnover with GT3s b/c they are more hardcore than many really expect. Not everyone, enthusiasts included, are ready for the compromises of these cars. Even more so with the RS, which is rumored (on rennteam at least) to be barely streetable.

Nick nolte speaketh the truth we don't dare admit... This group really is deliciously demented.

Now, can we discuss the value of air-vent red leather stitiching again?
