What's your beater car, if any?

Great pics and looks like a ton of fun! I love that you're using that beast as intended. Now, if it will get 35+ mpg I can sell my wife on it as a third car and we'll cancel the i3 order. She loves Mercedes....

I've had the ECU, headers and exhaust done so the G63 only gets around 11 - 13mpg on an average city / highway consumption, unfortunately not exactly i3 beating specs there..... But it does onset enough carbon to equal the amount of carbon the i3 offsets....
My wife drives a 2015 A45 AMG hatch that's had a tune and some work done to put out 408bhp. The standard spec is 360hp with a "claimed" 34mpg. It's an awesome car, a lot of fun, I think in the US you get the CLA45 sedan version, if you were in the market for a fantastic AMG that won't break the bank, this is one to go for.
The paint is a designo exclusive "matte grey" which really suits the G63. Not sure what it is called in other markets.

Love the G63- you can beat on it but I wouldn't call it a beater. Those cost as much as a 991!
How about an S2000 as a beater? Had one of those awhile back, plenty around the 10k mark and definitely in the same spirit as the GT3- light, high revving, etc. Not too much expensive maintenance except the tires are as soft as bubble gum so they wear quick, but us Porsche drivers are used to that.

Hi Sam. Everything on the car is a standard option including the stitching.
Yes I have driven a mini and also mini JWC. Compared to the Standard base mini, the Fiat Abarth actually is more fun, has better handling much more compliant ride, larger inferior space and cheaper. But compared to the JWC it feels slower, and less sharper in terms of handling especially on smooth roads, but has much much compliant ride and probably better handling over rough roads as the JWC ride is way too stiff which is awesome on the track and smooth roads. So for everyday car, the Fiat makes much more sense because of the compliant ride and larger interior space and of course much cheaper. You can actually fit 2 average size adults comfortably in the back seat where you can't in the mini which makes the Abarth more practical. Mark

Which BART station? When I lived in San Pablo on the border with North Richmond I could pick up a Rock a hit the Richmond BART Station and Yard. I don't know if it's because of the location but they actually have Valet Service at that BART station and BART cop security as a result. I don't know of any other BART station that offers this. Probably because of the ****ty location - but about the time I moved out of the North East Gangster Bay Area BART was building an entire new parking structure. I imagine it's been completed.
