White or Carrara Metallic White?

I just saw the White Metallic. I would go with White Metallic if the upgrade is less than $1000. I have not looked at the option list in months. It really is not a big difference because you really do not notice the Metallic until up close.

I think it's a $710 upgrade. Worth it if you want the subtle difference.

Interesting I ordered metallic white, and have been going back and forth. I can't find a decent picture online? I kept the standard wheels, and if I may ask what lights did you order? I did the LED's , but I do like the black lights.

I actually went with the regular PDLS lights, which have a gray (not chrome) interior housing. Although I like the 'idea' of the black lights, I thought they were maybe a bit too much with white and the black wheels.

There is no right answer because it will not matter when/if you sell. They all look good as to how you want it. I would only say that the LED's are an expensive option but it also is a more modern one. I have a White one at Port and I went with the LED's because I like the double tubes which look more business like and the DRLs are pretty cool. But, there is a good case for the Black PDLS if you are trying to blend a certain color scheme- if that makes any sense.

I'm leaning slightly toward the regular white at the moment, just because it's a known quantity and I can't seem to find any good pics of the metallic white. A number of years ago I had a Nissan 300ZX twin turbo in a very nice pearl metallic white color, but TBH it was more of a GTish color than a sports car color. On the other hand I saw a Lambo once with a metallic white color that was pretty racey. Who knows?

A couple months ago, when Carrara White Metallic first appeared as an option on the GT3, I saw either a Panamera or Cayenne in that color that the dealer had. Not as nice as the old Carrara White in my opinion. It almost had a very slight blue tint. However, the new white is such a stark white, I'd probably go with the Carrara White. Stop by and see if they have another vehicle in the color and take a look.

Yeah, maybe I'll check out a lot to see if there are some non-911s in that new color. I'm thinking, though, that given the slight blue tint you refer to, the regular white might go better with the black wheels and yellow calipers. See:

below picture is of BMWs white/metallic white offering. Generally speaking pear white usually has a slightly bluish tinge. It should be noted its also a hard colour to repair (you need to get the mica "flip" the right direction). The standard white has much more impact in the flesh than in photos on the 991 GT3 IMO (I am maybe biased!).
