White or Carrara Metallic White?

They look the same. There is not tint on the metallic. You just have to get up close to even know it is metallic. Since it is under $1000 for the Metallic you should go ahead and order it.
But - if I had to do it all over again and I did not have to wait too long I would go PTS.

Good luck. Looks like I'm going to stick with metallic enough driving myself crazy. My order locks next month which will be good so I can stop changing.

Ok, as Columbo would say....just one more thing. Because I am totally compulsive (Haha!), I went to a dealer's lot today to look at these two colors on the Cayenne. Interestingly, almost everything mentioned above is totally accurate. First, the two colors are amazingly close, so much so that if I didn't read the stickers, I would have assumed they were the same. Second, if you stare at the Carrara White Metallic close up, you can see small silver flecks in the color. It is not the type of intense metallic I've seen in some other colors. It is possible that under different lighting, the effect might be more pronounced. To the extent there are undertones, they seem silver/grayish and I did not really see any blue tinge like in the Audi color referenced above. Third, if I were to characterize the very small differences between the two, I would say the metallic is perhaps a touch more "sophisticated", and the pure white has a touch more "pop".
One thing for sure---the GT3 will look great in either color!!

Yep looks like metallic white for me. I'm just tired of all the options, and just be surprised in November(:

Anyone have a clear picture of metallic white on a 991? Can't find one to save my life that I can really see. Thanks.

Hi, all
My first post here, have deposit down for a GT3 waiting for an allocation (dealer claim to have a September build Nov-Dec delivery allocation). As of today, I have not been given any solid build date yet.
Anyway, I have just been to the dealer, from the paint sample, metallic white is actually slightly more yellow than the standard white. It looks nothing like peal white to me, and does not have that blueish tint in peal white.
Any idea whether the dealer has got the color mixed up???

Remember - the problem( good or bad) with Metallic is that depending on the lighting it can give off different contrasts. I do not know if it was in sunlight or what type of lighting might of been reflecting off it if it was inside. That is why some people like Metallic because it looks different in the shade than the sun than the garage.
The regular white will not have say "multiple personalities"

Also wondering if the dealer swatch was specific to 2015 911 colors. I guess it's always possible (but I suspect unlikely) that the Carrara White Metallic on the 911 is different than the same titled color on the Cayenne.

Go with the stock white if you have any hesitation. It is a fantastic and gives a nice "pop". Metallic white you will not be disappointed; but, if you are questioning do not go down that road.
