Mine has Option 619 Mobile Phone Prep and works fine with an iphone 5. Works on bluetooth for calls, and playing music from the phone.

(Also have P23 PCM Incl. Navigation Module for what its worth if that makes any difference).

OK that's two confirms. I'm ditching dealer comments!

Cool – I was wondering about that. So you CAN play music from your iPhone wirelessly? No cutting-out, or other issues with it?

@FLM911 -- and you do *not* have Telephone Module, correct? Only the Mobile Phone Prep?

Correct - just checked my options list again. Music works fine no problem.

2. Telephone Module - If you want to be able to physically install a SIM card into your car, so that it essentially has a phone integrated into its system.

Is that correct?

Mike's description and 0Q991's understanding are correct.

Hi Tim, obviously Sam has answered your question and Sam and FLM911, it's good to hear that in fact the theory works in practice and the Mobile Phone prep allows your iPhones to work with the car as they should.

Yep, Mike!

I'm glad to hear about the Bluetooth audio streaming too. Makes me more comfortable with not having chosen Sirius XM--but truthfully I don't see myself having the radio on at all...

While at or close to the subject, the sound system is actually very good. I was pleasantly surprised because I expected a low quality no bass sound but not true. I think they could have saved about two pounds by using smaller speaker magnets. Not complaining!

How insulated is the cabin on the new GT3? Not saying at all that it's important to me but just curious since you mentioned the sound system is good.

Good to know. Those light weight speakers are no doubt what you get with the standard 4 speaker, 2x25 watt setup. I'd rather have the better sound and skip lunch a couple times a week to make up for the 2 pound difference.

Just remember that without the XM receiver, you don't get XM Navtraffic traffic info on the nav screen maps. Something I am currently deliberating.

Skip the roof wart. ALL car nav systems blow in comparison to an iPhone or android device. And the gap will only widen with time.

I debated this as well. Between the roof wart and the additional subscription cost (which others kindly brought to my attention) I decided it wasn't worth it. Also I tried using it on a friends audi a3 last week from Santa Barbara to San Francisco and traffic data was unavailable for about half of the drive.
