Have yet to scrape lip in 3.5 years with 3.8 RS. Brake ducts scrape at speed regardless of whether you have lift or not.
Would not buy a used GT3 with lift.

Why not? It's 10lbs in the front of the car. It's used so you're not having to pay for the cost of the options anyway. And as long as it works when you buy it, it will still work when you sell it, if you never use it.
And when you go to sell the car, you'll have much easier time selling it if it does have a lift.
So your post makes no sense.

In older cars with self leveling suspension the compressor is often the failed component.

One thing to not bother specing a lift when buying a new GT3, but you are the only GT3 driver I've ever spoken to who said they wouldn't buy a used GT3 with a lift.

A front lift is like god.. You think you don't need it until you have to negotiate a bump in the road (of life).. Then you start praying for assistance.
