I'm betting cold day, cold start, a bit of condensation in the exhaust system, perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about.....

You're right, it's white, which is what you get when water is evaporating from the exhaust at start up on a cold day....steam actually. Notice how it cleared completely after 2 or 3 seconds.

^^ I agree. Water is a product of combustion for all fossil fuels (gasoline, oil, natural gas, coal). There is always water vapor or steam in every vehicle's exhaust - winter, spring, summer, and fall. We see the smoke-like water vapor in cold weather because it condenses before it evaporates.

My 997 GT3 used to smoke at startup at times, nothing unusual.

Moisture. Let's not be drama queens.

Blue smoke = oil.

Black smoke = fuel.

In a world were we argue the merits of red stitching vs silver stitching, PDK vs manual....etc., at least this is something engine related.
