AutoCar Published Article - Just Released
For those interested in learning another journalists views hope you find this of interest. These are early reviews done with only a few hours driving . The first track reviews will be very interesting reading...
Im sure as usual this will probably create a strong response form the hecklers in the room. It would be nice if we can keep it constructive.
P.S. Note there are a few inaccuracies in the spec sheet and text with regards the size of the PCCB stoppers.

Good read, thanks. Brand new porker plays 3-year-old fiat, still numerically inferior (albeit some 40% cheaper) but (reportedly) more fun. The story never changes eh

Fiats are cheap where you live. In my neck of the woods the 991 GT3 is just under half the price of a 458. Infact Ive never consider any of Porsches 911 product to be in the same league as Ferraris product. Over here we see the 911 as a "sports car" and the 458 Fezza as a "super car" albiet probably the cheapest on in their range....

I believe the GT3 will at a minimum equal the 458 in performance as the stats suggest.
Having driven both the 430 Scud and 458 on track, I can't wait to drive the GT3 to compare. I expect the GT3 will be slightly less refined than the 458 but steps ahead of the 430 Scud which will make it the perfect car for me...I have placed my bet on the GT3 to satisfy my needs...

My "secret sauces" tell me its a revelation on short tight tracks like those we have in NZ (2.5-3.5 miles lots of tight corners only one or two 100-140 mph straights). Id imagine it would be very useful in gymkhana as stated below form the dealer technical sales manual....here's hoping!

But I guarantee you the GT3 gets better "engagement rate" coz 458s are about as common as delivery trucks. They're THAT close from being driven by domestic helpers on the way to pick kids up from school...
That number's right. Back then when GT3s were in the 1,300's the gap seemed wider. Don't feel so good anymore do we, now that we're just as bloated as the people laugh at... karma...
Fiat marketing has always touted the 458's DRY weight--some 1,380 which is short 100 of fluids. The autocar report has corrected that, hence 1,480ish.

Sorry CRex. Thought you may have had your NYC hat on not your HKG hat on. Yes in Asia taxes make both propositions expensive. We have no taxes (GST only at 15%) and the base 991 GT3 is 220k USD. The 458 is 440k USD at today's rate...

Im thinking of become an American citizen as the women/GT3 price ration appears the most balanced!

Thanks for the article, Macca!
In Dubai too, a base 991 GT3 is exactly half the price of a base 458, which will make the GT3 certainly more performance / speed / fun per dollar / euro / dirham!
I will take delivery of my 991 GT3 in September (it will be produced next week!) and the 458 'Scuderia' (I heard it might be called Super Sport... aaaargh!) by the end of the year, where the latter could even become 3 times as expensive as the GT3... which basically doesn't make any sense anymore, does it?
