Sweet. I wish they would have the gloss black option on the GT3! Do you guys think they will?

IMHO this looks like the new 991 GT3 RS breaking cover. The rear and front bumper, the front flares and the centre exhaust etc all lend themselves to this being the new 991 GT3RS. Its quite possible the new RS will have the cooling ducts in the rear arches (why not?). More unlikely the GT2 will have the centre exhaust?

Just my thoughts - but the more I look at it the more it makes sense its the RS to me...

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw the photos. There are more features on this car that suggest its the GT3 RS rather than the GT2.

I agree. GT2 probably wont have the GT3 front end nor the fixed large GT3 rear wing. I sure hope the inlets are improved over the 991 turbo as I feel the 997 inlets much better looking.

Yeah, looks more GT3 RS-like to me. In addition to the turbo-like side ducts it also looks like a Turbo-wide body though. But what’s with the ride height? And those wheels (especially the rears) look MASSIVE.

There have been strong rumors now the 991 GT3 has the C4S wide body that the new RS would have the turbo wide(r) body. If that is tru and this is indeed a 991 GT3RS (suing a standard Turbo rear quarter panel as camo) then I think its a real shame as IMHO the new turbo from the rear has flay (and fat) hips and has lost the organic curves of the earlier 911s. Also if they are now using rear fender vents to differentiate it form the 991 GT3 then again I also hope they choose something different as like the other poster I feel the 9997 ones are much nicer than the new 9991 ones.
Maybe its now riding on 21" centre locks to appease the track junkies LOL!

The front arch extenders look quite good IMHO and are definitely a traditional GT3RS & GT2RS feature.

My money is on this being a 991 GT3RS....

Agree on the chances that it is more likely the 991GT3RS in testing. But I really hope this time around Porsche allocates the tooling money on the 991 iteration to have a single piece front quarter panel to house the bigger front rubber. A car of this caliber and cost really deserves better than the glued on trim piece of the 997.2GT3RS that looks more like an after thought.

Those turbo inlets look like 991tt inlets. Ugly but I guess it does the job. Funny how much better the rear end looks with a bigger fixed wing. The front also looks like a 991 GT3 and not the 991 TT with it's adaptive aero spoiler.

If by gloss black you mean wheels...they are now showing as an option on the UK configurator.

The black wheel option will be available for US cars starting in September.

Also, there are rumors that Porsche may not produce a 991GT2.

on 21" clown-shoes no less. With that much ground clearance, and a rear skid plate, are they going to also market it as an off-roader to the Land Rover community?
