Manual. Because I could give a rats **** about shaving 10ths in a street car.
Street cars are built for the street; race cars are built for the track.
This guy was lucky:

Manual of course. Porsche built a brand, a cult, a following of huge number of enthusiasts around a formula that we all love. We are all on this forum because we love that formula.
Now porsche has decided to flush the formula right down the toilet-- terrible business decision that it is.

A proper manual transmission of course - particularly in Porsche's traditionally most focused driver's car.

So far the vote is 8 for MANUAL and 2 for PDK-S.
Personally,I'm not ready to draw any conclusions just yet,I think this thread will become a lot more interesting once journalists and/or buyers will get some '' seat time '' with the PDK-S.
Thanks for contributing!

Manual 6-speed for me:
1. I am not a professional driver whose paycheck depends on 0.5 second advantage of a PDK
2. I do not want to fall asleep behind the wheel while driving an automatic gearbox
3. I dislike paddles very much

My vote: manual, current 6 speed type box a must...
They are welcome to offer pdk-s, just don't shove it down my throat!

The GT3 is so far gone I wouldn't be interested even if it were the PDK love child manual.
If they made a car that was a dominant performer, that might justify the mass overhaul. But it's still slower than the last generation of it's primary competition at the track and in the media. All of those gadgets, and for what?
