Default US Configurator

If you visit the configurator now it has a ad on the main page stating that the GT3 is up now, but once you go into the 911 section it's not there. The web dev guys must be putting it up currently.

It said that yesterday too. If they are working on it, wish they'd pick up the pace....

Those that wait patiently are often surprised by...a no cost sport bucket seats option! Maybe, let's wait and see. PCNA has some room there to be generous with that $130K+ US pricing!

Eduardo

Did anyone notice on the US website they don't show the club seats and harnesses. Not trying to read into it but it's openly omitted from the pics as opposed to the UK site.

Go ahead & read into it...that it will not be offered in the US! The 'Club Sports Package' was NEVER offered here on the previously imported gt3's (996, .1 997 & .2 997) due to DOT & National Highway Safety Administration regulations.

In Europe, however, the CSP has normally included special door panels, seat belts, fire bottle, RS roll bar painted exterior color, battery kill switch, carbon fiber seats (non-reclining, non-airbag), Lexan / Plexiglass rear window & 90 liter fuel tank. This 'Club Sports Package' option will remain available in Europe / ROW 991 gt3's and will continue NOT to be offered in the US. However, the big change on that package for the European markets is that the lighter weight carbon fiber (non-reclining, non-airbag) bucket seat is now apparently no longer allowed to be offered in the European Union due to new MY2014 vehicle regulations! The new seats offered on the CSP will be the folding & airbag gt2-type carbon fiber buckets (see photo below)! The only thing in that photo that we will see on this US market will be the gt2-type seats, which will be an option on our gt3!

In the upcoming 991 gt3 RS, the 'Club Sports Package' might be standard equipment for Europe & ROW (if they follow the norm). It is still NOT expected to be allowed to be included in our US market!

Saludos,
Eduardo

I get ~$154k for a car with adjustable seats, good headlights and the mandatory new monster/oversize PCCB (the steels won't hold up for more than a couple track days with this heavy beast).

Boulevard Cruiser Extraordinaire. But this is no track car. Give up the dream, them's the facts. Hope for the best when the RS spec is released.

Marketing guys won...

xenons standard
steel brakes
90L fuel tank
Navigation
=============
$132k... only if the sport buckets were standard.

Two ways this goes:

1) they're backordered for months and hence won't be available for early deliveries (this makes sense as PAG doesn't give a hoot about the US and probably only told PCNA about the car last week).

2) Sport Buckets are only going to be offered on the RS (thus increasing the "yawning divide" between the standard GT3 and the RS).

Pretty sure the frunk is the same capacity regardless.

I love the idea of the 90L tank. It'll probably get 7L/100 on the highway = massive range!

8.9L/100km highway = 1,011km range per UK stats. Good luck replicating in real world.

That said, big fan of larger fuel tank. And it should absolutely reduce trunk space.
