I think it is a smart business move from PAG , there is some demand for manual transmission , and if you grab that segment , then you have an advantage in a very competitive market

That's great. I like how they bundled SC with the manual at no cost. Granted the manual used to be ~$4500 less than the pdk.
I guess I'm not the only one that thinks SC is a must with a manual (both my Porsches have it). Very cool and gets rid of the nubbin for those that don't like it.

Sport package in conjunction with the manual transmission is 2K less than with PDK.

I would say just as importantly, is whether it comes with the flat-shift function. Anyone who has driven a 911R in anger or on track knows how much that is lacking when you're getting after it vs the GT3 manual which has this function.

I was recently playing at the track with my buddy who has a Touring with my .2 winged manual. I was using the flat-shift and my friend hasn’t tried it yet. Cars are pretty evenly matched (and he even saw 2mph higher Vmax at end of straight).

I honestly cannot perceive much power difference between them.. maybe the gt3 revs a little more happily? But no, the flat shift function to me is a must-have now that I've tried it.

Light flywheels enable the engine to be more responsive - saves a significant amount of rotating mass that the engine doesn’t have to use power to spin (and revs fall more quickly when you let off the throttle). Makes it a little more tricky to start off from a stop, but otherwise it improves the experience and performance.
I have an original 73 RSR racing flywheel on my 73 911 and it definitely adds to the experience, but still easy to drive on the street.
