Default Took Delivery Yesterday 19 RS... Car Broke Today...

Can I get some advice. Took delivery yesterday with 38 miles. Drove a couple hundred miles today and I was almost home and the reverse error came on followed by the engine control fault. Turned car off and back on. Drove down the street further and they both came back on. Car wouldn't get out of first. Was definitely in limp mode. Then it almost didn't make it up my flat driveway. Hoping this is just a battery charge issue. Car sat at the dealer for a few months and was most likely charged here and there is all. Have it on a small regular charger on AGM setting for a bit and will then put it on a trickle/maintenance charge in a little while. I'm hoping that resolves it and those codes will be stored as soft codes. I'll still need to take it to the dealer but that is 100 miles away and I don't want to have to flatbed it being so new. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Had the same fault on the track this week. They need to try a recalibration first and if that doesn’t work, it is a bad valve body on the tranny. They ended up replacing my valve body Thursday. Did 4 sessions on the track yesterday and ran perfectly. Good luck.

Rant Alert: Looks like joejenie is right. Battery is fine. Man I'm so pis*ed right now. Had the car for 24 hours. Now I have to get it flat bedded a 110 miles to the dealer and worry it doesn't get screwed up getting towed. Then cancel a dentist appointment I waited a month for and my PPF appointment the first of next week. I want to drive this car to Monterey for an October track day at Laguna Seca for an AMG driving academy event. But now I've lost confidence in the car. You kidding me a McLaren MP4-12C would have lasted longer than that.

The dealer would probably send a pretty good tow truck in this situation. Mine would anyway.

I had that message on my macan turbo a few months ago. Started it up in my garage and it just popped up. PDK ended up getting replaced.

How long did that take? I could be down a couple weeks don't know. I'll certainly keep this thread updated.

Well that sucks, but no vehicle manufacturer is immune from this kind of fault. Hopefully it'll be an easy quick fix and you'll be on your way again.

That sucks. I would be pissed too. Hopefully it’s nothing major and gets fixed quickly.

It was 2.5 weeks. I'm sure much of it is dependent on delivery time of the part itself.

That's what I'm pretty much thinking. If it's just a valve body then it might be sooner. If it's PDK replacement then it could be 2-3 weeks. Crap.

Just my luck. I had a 2018 Green Hell Magno AMG GTR that took a year to get. Second outing I went down to Vegas and it broke down in the Aria Valet check in for six hours on a Friday night. That is a crazy *** story as well. Codes up the a** and then the battery died. It took six hours to get it to Fletcher Jones. By the end of it. I was so looped from all the Jalapeno Margaritas at Javier's while waiting I didn't even care.
