Default Review: JCR Silenced Titanium Tips

Received some JCR silenced titanium tips today. Arrived well packed. Construction appears to be solid. Cast titanium backing plate; two mini mufflers with internal perforated pipe/steel wool packing; turn down tips.

The JCR tips are pretty light - lighter than the steel 991.1 RS tips, but heavier than the titanium 991.2 RS tips.

JCR - 1400 grams
991.1 - 1550 grams
991.2 - 900 grams

Test fit went fine. They look good - I could definitely drive to the track with them mounted and leave them on for an extended period of time. Typical turn away pipes I would always install and remove at the track.

Laguna track test with dB readings soon...

Are you running stock muffler/side muffler or JCR?

Stock exhaust. Plan is to test back to back dB readings of:

1. Stock w/ and w/o JCR tips
2. Stock + gps activated valve control w/ and w/o JCR tips

Will be looking to see if the dB delta is the same in both scenarios.

After one session, tips turned a nice blue. I guess they are made of titanium, after all! No issues passing 90db on a very foggy morning at Laguna Seca in conjunction with exhaust valve GPS controller. It was also rather peaceful having a quieter exhaust on the drive back home.

Do you have decibel readings without the Track Nanny? Just curious how much they reduce the loudness with stock exhaust.
