Default 991.2 GT3 exhaust questions

Hi there, I collected my 991.2 GT3 about 6 months ago. I absolutely love it and also it being my first ever porsche GT car. This car is fantastic.

However, I have certain questions about the sound/exhaust of this car. Yes the Stock exhaust and sound is great however im looking for something slightly louder with more aggressive downshifts. Not looking to change the whole exhaust to an aftermarket brand however, what do you guys think of a side/center OEM stock muffler delete?

Also, if I were not to delete any mufflers lets just say to delete the valves because honestly the Sports Exhaust button i find it kinda crappy yes idle is slightly louder but when i drive higher RPM the other valve opens.

Looking for suggestions

Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Was looking at your Titanium centre bypass, would that mean the OEM side mufflers will still be intact? The only thing changing is the centre OEM mufflers? Sorry i'm still quite new with all these technical terms.

Disconnect and plug your exhaust valves first. $5.
At least on the 991.1 it makes more power too, dyno demonstrated.

I'm a fan of Soul Performance products. They have some really nice looking, sounding and fitting products (centre delete, side deleted with to without valves) etc. Less money than the titanium stuff but (obviously) a little heavier...if you need the top, then JCR is pretty sweet.,

I am extremely happy with my Sharkwerks center bypass. Also got the 100mm exhaust tip.

All of the parts we produce are modular so its possible to combine with OEM parts. In this instance many run just our centre bypass (and often titanium tips) with the OEM side silencers but many also add our valved (or non valved) side silencers to create a full manifold back system.

Feel free to drop a quick PM with your expectations and goals from the exhaust swap and I'm sure we will be able to spec a suitable configuration.

In this video, I have Fabspeed side bypass and Soul Center bypass in the RS, stock Touring and Carrera T. The Touring sounds so anemic so something will be done about that TODAY!!!

EDIT: My license numbers were showing in the video and too much hassle to blur out so I decided to take it down and do another video later.

I'm waiting to get the center bypass moved over from the RS to the Touring before uploading a video.

Hello Vaalus,

I made an educational thread comparing side and center muffler bypasses on the GT3 platform a while back. Take a look, perhaps it can help you make a decision. If you'd like to have a chat about which will meet your goals in particular, please feel free to give me a ring any time at 484 883 6197.

Hi there!
Take a look at our GMG Center Section Exhaust for the 991.2 GT3/RS. It's not too over the top loud but definitely packs a punch. The exhaust is a direct replacement to the factory exhaust, no modifications required. Installation is as easy as removing the factory center muffler, and replacing is with the GMG WC Center Section Exhaust as it will bolt up to both the stock side mufflers while retaining the factory sport button's functionTake a look at these videos.

I'm using the GRP. Graham Rahal bypass. I had sharkwerks w 100mm tips. Loved it. I like the Grp better. It has a more deeper tone and growl.
