GT3 Touring Value

Looking for feedback on the value of a 100 mile GT3 Touring. Silver/Black. Red stitching with many options. LWBS, FAL, PDLS, Bose, Chrono, etc.

Looking for feedback on what's a fair price for this as a % of MSRP which was $169K. Has PPF and Quartz PPC on it.

Sorry to ask but I did search Cars.com and this site and there are not many for sale.

Thanks
Roy

I'd be surprised if it went for anything less than MSRP. Many dealerships are listing delivery mile GT3Ts for $25k or more ADM. If the car is in like-new condition, MSRP or under would be a great deal.

Based just on watching the advertising and the commentary, seems the Touring is the version that carries the best premium. Above MSRP I'd think.

Good luck. There was a point where they could be had for $10k over, now people seem to think they are rare and dealers are demanding more. I’d shoot for $10k over personally or wait it out.

Izzone 06-03-2019 08:04 PM

I paid 15 over ADM for mine

Similar spec but jet black metallic

I'd pay it again, best daily I've owned..just put PS4 on it

I've considered buying another one in case I break this one eventually

One mod needed is the 911R shift knob from suncoast..that's my poser part

RockyTopTenn 06-03-2019 08:30 PM

They are only going up in value from here... This time next year, they will be the same price as 911R's... ;)

I only see a handful for sale. I paid hefty ADM and thrilled to be given the oportunity to own my dream car. 1 out of about 750 is not very many. I have a white one and would sell it for $60k over......maybe?? I think many owners are like me and don't plan to ever sell it.

People will sell when the new toy arrives trust me always happens. Sold my Boxster Spyder and 800 in the US, and they are dropping with the new model pending. Drive them and enjoy them.

How badly do you want the car and on a 170k car will 10-15k over make or break you?

Touring is a great car. Enjoy it. Have fun.

Dead Guy's car

I paid $30k over and couldn't be happier as I spec'ed it my way and even got PTS.
Bought it with a raised eyebrow and a hefty 'bout of skepticism, asking myself "Could the balance on the road even match the GT4 ?"
I now have more miles on my Touring than the GT4, so .... 'nuff said

PS - Porsche has gotten very saavy on pricing producing maximum profits (GT2RS, Speeedster), not leaving anything on the table.
I predict the next versions will see price increases of a serious nature

I remember some pictures when you picked it up. What makes you want to sell it?

I would usually agree. But I don’t think it’s fair to compare a Boxster Spyder to a Touring based on production numbers alone Plus, Boxsters don’t sound nor drive like GT3s. I’ve been hunting for another car to add and always end up comparing them to the Touring, but nothing so far exceed the driving enjoyment it provides - even if the Touring is just a 991.2 GT3 without a wing. Had a 600LT on order, then test drove demo and canceled it. Test drove a Singer, and as beautiful as they are and drive, didn’t convince me to sign paperwork (I wasn’t gonna convince myself it’s gonna e an investment). Test drove GT2RS, awesome and might add at some point. I think I just have a psychological problem and I’m stuck between looking for a 997.2 RS/4.0 or CGT  Need another car that delivers a unique experience, sound, and that’s a keeper (Not just buy to buy). The Touring feels unique. Not because of production numbers or PTS, but because how it drives and sounds. Perhaps it’s just the sound of the 4.0 engine at 9k rpm with the Dundon Race headers and center muffler. Or maybe it’s the 100 lbs it lost between exhaust, wheels, and lithium battery. But man , I wouldn’t sell it for anything else. There’s no other car on the market from any manufacturer with a 9k rpm engine (or better), manual transmission, and near 3000 lbs weight (other than a 911R, and would be redundant to have both).

I agree with Agent_Orange regarding the all but certain price increase in the 992 GT3. Plus, there are uncertainties about the 992. Will it be NA? Will it have the Tron rear stop light? If you can get a very low mile 991.2 Touring to your liking for a $10k ADM, I would consider that a pretty good deal.

Sorry, agree two different cars. My only comparison was volume numbers in the US. Spyder 5 year old car selling for slightly under MSRP. Last year was selling over MSRP, and as soon as the new model soon to come out the prices are dropping. GT3’s are some of the best driving cars around. I’d be curious how many get sold after the summer. I do agree with you on all points, my point is more around human behavior once bored.

I’m not trying to be a jerk. It’s going to be NA.
