Things I dislike/hate about my Touring.
- much too noisy inside, indeed, noisier than my .2 GT3 RS
- not suitable to Touring due to the noise
- sixth should be longer to facilitate better “touring”
- 3rd to 2nd shift often badly baulks in loaded left hand turns on track
- 4th to 5th shift is too much of a deliberate push and up. it’s not a natural flow, at least not compared to my other Pcars.
- zip difference between PSE on and off
what do I like? Not much compared to my other Pcars. At the moment, it’s my least favourite.

Power is well below 500hp at 9,000 rpm (so cannot approach 200mph with lower gearing). Though geared for 220 mph, the car cannot get there (stock) without a strong tail wind...

Porsche knows more than me. Makes perfect sense. Now it really is perfect!!
Actually, gearing to 220 mph (at redline) is necessary for the car to go ~200mph. The peak power comes at 8,250 rpm, so the gearing has to be tall enough to go ~200 mph at 8,250 rpm.

I see the GT3RS noted in the VIN lookup, but my insurance agent called the underwriter today. She verified that my 2019 is indeed classified as a Touring and "believe me, if we thought it was an RS we would have called to verify whether you were planning to race the car...!"

I had I 2018 GT3 with PDK and the Touring is louder. At first it seemed the same but I took it on a 6 hour road trip and it is louder. The "Touring" model is a mis-nomer. It is from an older Porsche 911 special model and is not about cruising comfort. I love the added noise as it feels more involving to drive. Different priorities for different people. Porsche has a model for all of us.

indeed, i have had a 991.1 GT3, a 991.2 GT3 and currently own a Touring, a .2 GT3 RS and a bunch of others including a 964 RS, 996 GT3 RS and. 997.2 RS. The Touring is the loudest inside of all. If you search this forum, you will find videos of db readings I took which clearly show the Touring is up to 4db louder than a .2 GT3. That’s a lot. For this and the other reasons I posted above, I don’t think this is the “nirvana” PCar that everyone says it is.

I love mine. Perfect in almost every way.
Only thing I don’t like the is how the top of gurney grill seems to restricts airflow at static. Intake should have a bigger intake footprint. But it still performs under acceleration and I only care about performance, so

The Bose radio doesn't help. We had it turned up to 30% and it was still hard to hear the radio at highway speeds. We just turned it off and focused on driving (like we should be)!
