The reason for this request is that too many threads turn into pricing and value discussions, and a lot of members are getting so turned off by this that they are looking for other websites to visit. If we can try to isolate those discussions in a sub-forum that should solve the problem.

Thank you very much.

By the way. if anyone agrees with this idea please add your support and comments below.
it's a nice thought but so many of the value threads do not start off as value threads and so the moderators would have to work 24/7 to transfer all of them to the subforum. the mods don't get paid and have way better things to do with their time.

They can’t even transition to a unified Marketplace around here. Another forum seems like a tall order.

"long time porsche collector and enthusiast, been owning GT cars since before GT cars existed; my stealer wouldn't give me allocation at MSRP; but managed to get one from another dealer for $75k over; hoping to track it a bunch; but most likely after driving it 100 miles will trade in for the next new thing, do you think it will be worth more when that time comes?"

Or everyone can just pick another rennlist sub-form, or migrate to a different form entirely.

What you are asking for will never happen since it is the most popular topic, which creates clicks, which creates advertising dollars for the forum. You are asking for the site to sacrifice profits.

Reasoning is flawed. We are not asking to ban value threads, just collate them into a subforum. If there is a "Value" subforum, then those clicks will still happen and advertising dollars will still come in. The big difference is since all those threads will be in a separate subforum, I and others like me do not have to go skipping multiple pages of value threads just to get to the threads we want.

We could also insert a few fun trades.

'I just traded my 991.2 GT3, 2 months old, MSRP $177k and with less than 700 miles on a 991.2 GT3 RS. The best I could get for my car was $145k. The market is really dropping.'

One of the better ones that got me was when someone was basing his GT purchase or financing to fed rates

That had me laughing
