[Review] JCR // LightWeight Billet Aluminium Shift Paddles
I have always wanted to replace the OEM shift paddles as they forced shifting to default to the 9 and 3 steering position. I hated all the half-baked solutions on the market that provide a "quick" double sided stuck on extensions that not only look unsightly, serves more as an after thought which are ironically simply rubbish.
Ever since JCR came along to offer us modular variety with his Titanium Exhaust series, his extended shift paddles caught my attention more than anything else. Nobody on the market was offering true replacement, extended one piece shift paddles. I was instantly sold and needed a pair more so that his Titanium masterpieces.
Finally had an opportunity to install these beautiful shift paddles by JCR (which requires the steering wheel to be removed, while you are at it, you can also replace the steering wheel inserts), they are lighter than the OEM shift paddles while more importantly, extended with ergonomic improvements and provide a better bolt-action like tactile feel vs OEM shift paddles.
With JCR extended shift paddles, I have no difficulties (with my short fingers) to shift at any steering position easily and comfortably. Highly recommended and truly a great upgrade.

Great review and pics!
Glad you’re enjoying the new shift paddles now they’re installed, looking great in the OEM finish!

Well done! I've been excited to hear more after seeing your post on Instagram.
Looks like I have another project after installing the JCR Valved Race Pipe

I insist with Porsche recommendation on replacing the steering wheel bolt when reinstalling the steering wheel as this negligible part is meant to be a one-time use (replace with new once removed, the cost of the bolt is peanuts).

Still love mine...
Below pic was shortly after original install back in Nov. 2019. Since then, added another 7k miles.

It's been a little over 2 years of using JCR shift paddles, recently I had the opportunity to replace them with a subtle revised version where the 3D printed assembly which attach onto the shift paddle is different from the original design.
So what has changed? JCR shift paddles now feel closer to the OEM shifting feel and I continue to recommend JCR shift paddles as an essential upgrade for PDK owners.

Hi everyone. Quick question. I just had these installed on pdk 2022 gt4 and the look and design is awesome. However I’ve noticed a bit play/shimmy in them. If you push them forward they move a bit. The stock paddles didn’t do that. Could it be the install? Thanks in advance.

Timely post @SFLDOT2GT3
Yes, there is indeed a "very tiny" bit of play if you push them forward however I would say this is a nitpick rather than anything else as you shouldn't be pushing them forward, only pulling.
Recently, JCR released a "version 3" of their amazing extended shift paddles where it's now a complete one piece design. I will be upgrading from "version 2" by end of next week and will be happy to report back on how "version 3" feels vs. "version 1 and 2".
That being said, I've never had any dislikes with using either "version 1 and version 2".
JCR shift paddles upgrade for me personally are the, "if I was only going to improve one thing in my RS, this will be it" above everything else.

I hear ya buddy but shortly after i posted the note above this happened. the paddle literally came right off. I would love this paddle in a complete 1 piece design (like the OEM) but clearly i do not have that. I would rather have my stock paddles any day over this kind of thing happening I feel bad for posting this but the loose play in the paddle then this is kind of weird. it just came off. Its glued.

I just ordered a set after reading this thread. Looks like I will be getting the one piece design. I will report back once received and installed.
