...and up the chain of command too.
I sent every Porsche NA Marketing and Porsche Executive I could find a polite and factual email regarding Nashua Porsche, how their actions were tainting the Porsche brand image and included a RL link to that Nashua Dealership thread.

Within days the Dealership was feeling the heat from above and stopped playing games, customer got his car.

Completely aside from the ethics...it's so short-sighted for them to behave this way. They are sure to lose far more than that $20,000 ADM over the course of time that you and your wife may purchase cars and have them serviced. Bad business is just bad for business, period.

They would have been better off to tell you they face a large demand which would otherwise command an ADM, but still intend to honor their word and are looking forward to you driving off at MSRP regardless of demand.

It may be worth sharing your story somewhere like Reddit.com/r/cars (from there, a story can catch like wildfire but be aware that sometimes folks can hate on "first world problems" all the same). I can't tell you how many times stories of the dealership ripping someone off or just being dishonest blows up there and sends a strong message to those who misbehave.

OP- I'm not defending the dealer, but this is spot on. Without that language, you would have been able to force the deal at MSRP if you pushed hard enough.

Imagine going to Target and things are priced like this. You see a blow dryer on the shelf, the price is $20. You get to the register and the cashier tells you it is $25 because a lot of people want it right now. That entire shopping cart would be sitting there as we headed for the exits. All you can do is walk away, ban that dealership for life, and spread the word.

Terrible way to run a business.

Dude so far the reviews I have posted on every dealer and car buying site make a Russian withdrawal look like a picnic! Scathing to say the least, and I am just getting started. At this point I wouldn't take their car if they gave it to me free; I want them to feel the pain I felt for a while :-)

If you want a g63 that bad go to a factory dealership. Manahattan mercedes is one of them. I bought my 2013 g63 from them. They were super hot at that time as well. No adm being a factory store.

And make sure MSRP is spelled out. I had a Dealer throw in M-"market" and I caught it and had them change it. Pretty sneaky for sure

Good for you. I had a similar thing happen to me almost 20 years ago at Estate Motors a MB dealer in Westchester County, NY. I had a deposit on an SL55 with specific language that I was buying it at sticker. Once it became available to order I went to the dealership (where we had purchased two cars the year before) to order it and was told there would be a $20k markup. I produced my deposit form signed by the SA and me, but was told because the manager didn’t sign it it wasn’t valid. Like you I told them to go f#$k themselves.

Like surge pricing with Uber. I can kind of understand it on limited availability items like these cars. At least you guys in the US know up front what you are in for (except in OP case which is plain wrong). Anybody with the ADM can buy, not so here.
