I am glad Porsche decided to build it.
I bought mine to drive , but who knows , they may appreciate close enough to the R based on performance, even at higher production unit numbers than the R, there is not that many of them, as the 991 GT prod cycle nears its end, they are fetching more ADM than the other variants, which are selling at little to no markup except the GT2RS

Bringing this back to Auction World ......in x years into the future a 2018 Carrera 4 comes up on the block and auctioneer pitches it as the rarest model variant of the year..... a car in fact considerably more rare than the GT3 and GT2RS !!!!

the most common 991.2 to date is base Carrera coupe with 3,574 completed for NA.
2nd most common is base GT3 currently at 2,793.
3rd is 991.2 Carrera S coupe with 2,189 already built.
add in 991.1 so we have a real picture of how many 991’s by model are in NA and the gap continues to widen.

Lots of good cars as always, including some childhood faves. 288 GTO at $3.5 million, incredible. RS200, little monster and no sale. Then the LFA close to $900k, hard to fathom that. Some big numbers and also some fails.

Interesting no 918 at the big 4 venues ....guessing any original owners with VIP status who might be thinking of selling , would wait till they get their Speedster allocation

^ Was fascinated by them as a kid. All things Group B but something about that car that is just pure, unadulterated go-fast. I highly recommend picking one up...

Charity auction and ford announced
"There are no restrictions on this car- so if you sell it there is no penalty"
So, Rick Hendrick buys it for 2.5 as a charity tax write off, then sells secondhand for 1.5 as a retail sale, retaining all revenue...not sure about the accounting here but it is NOT the same as a straight sale.
