Wife left me. This could get ugly.

I think the 458 would be plenty fast. The GT3 is!

Yeah Grant, good point. I really don't need scary fast. The wife would not be happy if every time I got on it she screamed. Not that there wouldn't be some entertainment value to that, but I think it would be totally one-sided. lol

Love clickbait with a happy ending. Or, at least a potential happy ending.
Get a convertible.
(I know you are in Colorado, but you still have a summer. )
Edit: Also... I know there is no love for Audi or R8's on the RL... but my vote is below.

Wife isn't a fan. I would totally be down for one. When the wife lets you spend ungodly sums of money on cars, you have to deal with some "quirks." But yeah, 458 spider!

The 458 and the GT cars are perfect pairs for different levels of enjoyment. My 458 Spider is one of the best cars I’ve owned, and I have no intentions of getting rid of it. V8 that rev’s to 9K just insane and lots of fun ......the last of the great NA’s.

I have owned both....absolute no brainer in my book....Scud hands down....ONLY car I've ever regretted selling.....It is a car to enjoy by yourself or a buddy....not a date night car

Rob
I've owned both and put around 7k miles on each.
F cars get too much attention, tough to fit comfortably (especially w helmet), and are only fun when pushing hard.
Mine both got sold and wouldn't you know it - the GT cars are still in the garage.
My recommendation - get a great stick GTcar 997.2 RS, or new touring, AND a great PDK car (your current gt3)
If you absolutely need 1 of the 2 you listed earlier . . .SCud hands down - 458 is just numb / boring most of the time.
If you like to try a different F car - possibly try an f12. Big / heavy / fast touring car, Nice complement for a GT.

Ive owned both..Scud I regret selling. 458 is great but just has a more comfortable interior and newer technology, where Scud is straight up, analog driving experience. Both cars are reliable...only thing i did not like in my 458 was that it had the standard seats and me being 6'1" tall, the top of the steering wheel crossed over the upper half of the tachometer, whereas the scud comes standard with racing seats (very comfortable btw). Expect the scud pricing to have bottomed out and be on the rise by now which puts you in a pretty safe place to buy, whereas the 458 is still depreciating.
