Default which tires for street?

Taking delivery hopefully this week but going to have them change out the tires before delivery. Pilot Sport 4S or Pirelli P Zero and why? I'm leaning towards the michelins (I will never track this car and the MPSCs are overkill, and not particularly desired by me in the winter either)

None of those would decent in the winter. Though I don't know what kind of winter you are referring to.

I have Super Sports on my 997.2 and Audi and love the tire, been great in every way. Fantastic for street and I think there should still be broad consensus on that. 4S is the update.

If those are your choices, I don’t know anyone who prefers p-zero to 4S but I have never run either.

The newer N1 spec PZero is a good tire. Had it on my 2017 GTS...good wear, nice grip....way better than the N0 spec back in 2012.

For the love of all that is holy go with the michelins, by all accounts the 4S is a great tire for the street

I have the P0 on my .2 2017 C4 and they are like pucks in the cold, I find them worse than the dunlops on my .2 GT3

I’m running Pilot Super Sports in the winter months up here in PA. Just need to adapt your driving.

(PS- I run Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires on my daily drive Cayenne. Fantastic winter tire!

I have the PZero on the Ferrari and I’m planning to go with Michelin when the GT3 arrives, with temperatures in the 40s they’re aren’t great but still 2x the grip than the stock Dunlop on the 991.1
I read that other members sold their stock tires, how/where did you guys do it?

Michelin PS4S all day!

Serious snow... leave the car at home.

Best Regards,
Dave

Don't really know about acceleration as it was stop and go traffic and honestly didn't want to find out with that traffic. End of the day I don't run them in the winter, just got stuck this year.

Michelin it is. Had the P0s on both of my C2S's and they were ok, but will go with Michelin.

4S are great tires. Ran through 2 sets on my 997.2 GT3 and have no complaints.

Have MPSS on my 997.2 turbo (not N spec) permanently. Have MPS4S on my 991.2 GT3 (N spec) for autumn/winter. Neither are much good for the coldest days, ice or snow but both are way better than MPSC2 or Sportmaxx in those conditions. On the street, you would have to be pushing very hard to run out of grip with the MPS4S though they are little softer riding and a little less precise so they do change the character of the ride - you may actually find the characteristics preferable for a street only car.
