Default 2 Years + and Its finally here! My PTS Nardo Grey GT3

Car arrived at the dealer today, got to see it get unloaded from the truck, was a very happy moment. A little background, I put a deposit down over 2 years ago immediately after the 911r was released. I knew for sure that Porsche would not make a manual for only under 1000 cars, so I put a deposit down to get in line for the 991.2. This is my first Porsche, prior to the GT3, I had a 2014 V10 R8 manual, and prior to that a V8 R8 also manual. Plus many BMW M3's all manuals (E92, E46. E36), and currently an M2 as my daily. Deciding the color was the hardest part. I really wanted Graphite Blue Metallic. Loved the color the moment I saw it on the Targa at the Detroit Autoshow. Unfortunately they canceled the color as you all know so I was having a real hard time deciding on color. Was going to do Carrara White, but I wasnt super excited about it. When I heard PTS opened up in the summer for October and November allocations (thanks Rennlist) I decided to do PTS. It was between Nardo Grey, Oslo Blue, Voodoo Blue, and Signal Green. I ended up going the safe route as I felt I might get sick of a bright color, although Oslo was a very close second! Now this color isnt for everyone but I loved it the moment I saw it on an R8 and think its a great color for the GT3. Chalk had way too much brown in it for me, its more beige than Grey to me.

Unfortunately I wont get to drive it as "winter is coming" (for game of thrones fan) its headed to get clear bra and tint on Monday. Many mods are planned on the way and most have been purchased already, thats what happens when you have to wait over 2 years for a car! I went with Silver wheels because I am changing them anyways, stock wheels will be for track.

Mods to be installed shortly:
OEM Satin Platinum GT3 RS Wheels
OEM GT3 RS Carbon Hood
IPE Exhaust
Bright Steering Wheel Trim for GTS
Clear Side Markers (does this even count as mod?, more of a necessity)
997 GT3 Rear Emblem

Not all that crazy about Gray but it does look good with the silver wheels (my wheel choice too). Cold and winter time. Hope you did not get stuck with the Dontlaps tires. Totally crap in the cold.

Congrats!! Great color! Did I read that right, you are putting RS wheels on it? Would they fit? Would they not throw the gearing off with the much taller rear tire?

Dieselino, looks great! Congrats and enjoy in good health. I’m glad it arrived early for you.

Looking forward to meeting up In the spring.

So far in Michigan there are the following 991.2 GT3s: your Nardo, my Mexico, a Carrara White touring, black and the Metalic green.

Should be able to gather all for a few nice pics and a great group ride.

Steve

Congrats! Beautiful. If I was able to get PTS, this would definitely be one of my top choices too.

Enjoy!
