Pirelli P Zero on GT3RS for the One Lap of America
I plain on entering my GT3 RS in the Tire Rack One Lap of America. You have to use a 200 minimum treadwear tire.
I wish I could use the stock Cup 2"s but they are 180. My only option without changing to a 20" rear wheel is the Pirelli P Zero at 220.
We only have to do 2 sessions of 3 timed laps at each course. So you really don't have a chance to get the tire's hot. Mostly transit miles.
Most people use Michelin S4 for the event, I used them last year with my turbo.
You think I should go with the P Zero or put 20" wheel on the back to use the 4S. I really don't want to buy wheels for one event.

My biggest worry would be weather. Cup 2s are brutal in rain; as I've told you before I almost totaled my RS in a sudden downpour as they provide next to no wet weather traction. I would imagine the R spec is even worse.

For those wanting to run SC2 tires even if they were 200 TW they would be horrible on the wet skid pad. Also going up north to RA and Brainerd where it could be both cold and wet which is a recipe for SC2 disaster.
The new Pirelli are supposed to be pretty good. I am going PS4S in the Croc because of the potential for cold and wet in 2019.

OLOA does not allow any tire listed by TireRack under streetable Track & Competition (regardless of treadwear rating or OEM tires), and tires must be purchased through TireRack and tagged by them as well.
The MPS4s is shocking good in the rain (I have them in my 991 Turbo S), and OLOA pays good points for their first event.

Buy a pair of 991 GT3 rear wheels, they are only 0.5" narrower than the RS wheels and you can get the same color and finish as your stock RE wheels. Go with the 345/30R20 MPS4s and same stock size for the front. On a 12" wheel, you only lose 5mm of contact patch compared to a 12.5" wheel, but you'll be running a 345 instead of a 325. In reality the 345 MPS4s on a 12" is the same width as the stock MPSC2 on the stock 12.5" wheel (I measured my stock rears at 13.75" wide).

That would be awesome.

yes. Winter wheels for an RS are just stock GT3 wheels. They bolt err, centerlock, right on. Keep in mind the TPMS is probably different between a 2016 RS and 2018 GT3. So all you would need to do is swap tires.

991.1 and 991.2 GT3 RS rear wheels are 12.5" x 21" ET48

Be aware that while you run the GT3RS on GT3 rear wheels, if you install the RS rear wheels in your 2018 GT3, don't drive the 2018 GT3. As soon as you hit any bump on the road the tires will destroy your 2018 GT3 fenders (I tried this with my 991.1 TTS front RS wheels were fine, rear ones touch the fenders as my 991.1 TTS is lowered, I did not attempt to drive it at all but it looked pretty).
I only see 2 tire options for OLOA: RE71R and MPS4s. If dry all week RE71R, else Michelin.

Mig, according to the TireRack site, Michelin now offers 21" sizes (RS Sizes) in the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. So you can run your OEM 20/21" wheel setup for OLAO.

i have a newer Zero N1 Spec on my 2017 GTS...on the road it is a lot better than the N0 PZero I had on my 2012 GTS. If you can go to 19" wheels...you should look at Yokohama AD08R and Bridgestone RE71. I also hear good things about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires too.
