If you had the non silenced with valved side deletes then you would experience some drone. Our silenced version is best for teaming up with valved side deletes

I want my two levels of sound to be a little louder than stock (valves closed) and a lot louder than stock. Would the non-silenced center bypass give me that?
Exactly that. With valves closed you’ll be a little louder than the factory centre muffler with valves closed however when you open the valves you’ll only have the cats offering any silencing so the sound is raw.

Can anyone confirm if there is any power/torque loss from removing all three mufflers? My concern would be the lack of back pressure, if any, from removing the mufflers.

I thought with valves open the gasses 'bypass' the muffled section of the OEM center muffler, meaning it would be akin to a straight pipe through the OEM center.

Why would having a non silenced center produce drone? If this produces drone, then wouldn't drone be also produced with the silenced center and valves open as that is essentially the same path of gas?

What would really be helpful is a chart that shows the flow of exhaust gas under all circumstances with all the different exhaust modification options along with a description of what is mechanically and physically occurring and assigning/measuring a numerical value to each of the characteristics (tone, drone, volume). It would be easier to determine what is causing the below:.
  • change in sound tone
  • change in sound volume
  • change in drone

Butt dyno feels the same with the awe exhaust. No lost of low end tq.

I am guessing the sound (like IPE, Akra) is totally due to the titanium vs stainless? The side deletes from all the companies are identical, less bending tube or type of valve. so the center delete is either ti for the sound with a connector or stainless with an x etc etc. I don't know if i could hear a difference if i had any of them. Someone please build a full length catless header for the .2 that does not through CEL and does not need a tune. I am calling my dealer and begging for a warranty coverage with a tune so i can get what i want. I can by a ford mustang and murder the entire car and have coverage. cant adjust ECU and fuel mixture, crazy SH@T

Is the AWE full Switchpath streetable or annoyingly loud for a cruise to dinner or cross-country drive? For a .1 GT3.

Also, I couldn’t find any good clips of the sound.

Thanks!

I was seriously looking at the AWE Switchpath as well - looks to be the best bang for buck - but I backed out when I saw you have to cut the rear diffuser on the RS in order for the valves to fit. Might be something you didn't know if you didn't read the small print?

I had one on my .1 gt3 and it's over 100db at full chat with valves open. Saved a lot of weight off the back which was nice. In the end it made longer trips over 30mins harder to live with, so I trailered to events to avoid it. On the track it helped to make wonderful sounds and made me smile every session!

Just depends on what you like, like anything else. I have a used one for sale if you want half price, with black tips.

I heard one recently and it was super loud. Although it sounded great it was way beyond my tolerance.

Valved Side Deletes remove the weight of the side mufflers (40lbs), no drone by keeping the Center muffler and the valves. If you want more volume do a Loud Lifetime muffler. If you want more still, can do a Dundon Street header system (comes complete with valved side deletes to mate to the OEM center muffler or one of our 321SS center mufflers).

well , i got mine and slapped it on two days ago , it fit perfectly my 2019 3RS diffuser , no cutting what so ever !

The exhaust is LOUD , the car is obnoxious but has very little drone , but loud and turns heads , wow ! I have another exhaust inbound that i will try and c which one i like better and keep it !
But it fits fine with no modification what so ever to the car or the exhaust .

Any update on the exhaust? Did you get another in and compare? Any video clips of the AWE on your car?
