I did the same (you can actually pack a bunch of socks and other soft clothes inside it, so you don't lose too much luggage space). But once I got to Germany I found the new helmet uncomfortable and replaced it with a cheaper and more comfortable one at the Nurburgring gas station (the one in this thread with the model cars)

Actually, I put my helmet in our one large suitcase that fits in the frunk. As GrantG mentioned, you can shove other things inside the helmet. I put my tow hook and my camera/solo mounting gear all inside the helmet. Lol!

Without the lift there would have been some damage taken to the lip.
this is a must in italy and france.

I never ever would recommend to check in your helmet. that suitcase gets smashed every which way. i always carry mine on the plane. i do pack my hoodie or other little clothes inside it. just my 2 cents after traveling to europe dozen times for competition and fun.

From an emotional standpoint, the RS hits the right spots. The look of the car is a big part of it. I've always loved big wings. The wild color accentuates all of it. Zero regrets in upgrading to an RS from a .2 manual.

I do think the jump from a .1 GT3 to a .2 RS will be a very tangible one for you.
I'm more of a satisficing guy rather than maximizing guy. From that standpoint, the .1 GT3 is more than satisfactory for me. But I agree, the RS has an over-the-top 'RS factor' which is appealing. If I wind up getting one, it may look a lot like yours!

That’s just about the size of my gf’s luggage that she will be bringing. I get the garment bag and duffels!

My line through the Karrussell
Great write up and enjoyed listening to your opinions. I live in Ireland , Europe and my RS ( Lizard, gen 2 like yours) was delivered in UK. I choose PCCB as they are significantly better IMHO of course. The full LEDs show the night like day and I religiously ran in my engine for 4000kms.
In August, ten weeks after delivery Intook my car on a 4000 Kms round trip to the Ring and Germany. I disagree with your comments regarding Spa, it’s a great circuit.

Enjoy your ownership ship and many happy miles.

To clarify, i think spa is a great circuit. I just think the ring is more special and if I had to pick one over the other, it would be the ring.

For those that want to follow the manual, it's 1500km or 930miles below 7k rpm for break in.

How does the cover come off to get to the wheel lock tool / battery / top shocks?
Just wondering if its still easy with the two air ducts going through it.
