I did the same (you can actually pack a bunch of socks and other soft clothes inside it, so you don't lose too much luggage space). But once I got to Germany I found the new helmet uncomfortable and replaced it with a cheaper and more comfortable one at the Nurburgring gas station (the one in this thread with the model cars)

One thing I forgot to mention for those doing euro delivery is that I would highly recommend getting the front axle lift. In the US the entries are mostly flat and graded. In Germany there are still curbs at entry. I got confused the first day circling around trying to find out how I was supposed to enter a lot, LoL! Without the lift there would have been some damage taken to the lip.

From logical standpoint it really doesn't make sense to upgrade. However, from a logical standpoint, none of this stuff makes sense. Hobbies just don't make sense. Any hobby.
From an emotional standpoint, the RS hits the right spots. The look of the car is a big part of it. I've always loved big wings. The wild color accentuates all of it. Zero regrets in upgrading to an RS from a .2 manual.
I do think the jump from a .1 GT3 to a .2 RS will be a very tangible one for you.

Great write up and enjoyed listening to your opinions. I live in Ireland , Europe and my RS ( Lizard, gen 2 like yours) was delivered in UK. I choose PCCB as they are significantly better IMHO of course. The full LEDs show the night like day and I religiously ran in my engine for 4000kms.
In August, ten weeks after delivery Intook my car on a 4000 Kms round trip to the Ring and Germany. I disagree with your comments regarding Spa, it’s a great circuit.
Enjoy your ownership ship and many happy miles.

To clarify, i think spa is a great circuit. I just think the ring is more special and if I had to pick one over the other, it would be the ring.
For those that want to follow the manual, it's 1500km or 930miles below 7k rpm for break in.
