Read through most of this thread. Gee whiz. Crazy times.
Almost makes me want to never own a GT car. The circus and hoops that have surrounded the allocation and market for these cars is just something that turns me off to the brand. Porsche could build more than enough GT3s for willing buyers if they wanted. Customers would be far happier because they'd be getting the car they most seek, and Porsche would be happier for making a larger wad of dough. Imagine any other business where the CEO says, "stop selling so many of our highest priced and most profitable widgets -- its bad for business and our customers hate us for it." It would eliminate all of this massive deposit stuff and probably cut down on moral hazards.
GT cars by their price point alone will always be exclusive and the exception on the road rather than the rule. The secret society developed around these allocations and sales seems like the antithesis of Ferry Porsche's ethos. The markups are ridiculous. I dont care how good a car is, I'm never paying over retail for it if its brand new. If the car is underpriced, raise the manufacturer MSRP but Im not playing parlor games. At the end of the day, its still just metal, rubber, and plastic.

^^^ Well said. Common sense and logic seem to be lacking somewhere up the executive ladder at PAG. The disconnect is strong. I'm sure they're loving the "press" here. Hopefully lights up a few circuits in their thick skulls. Playing silent and letting the cards fall as they may didn't work well for Champion. A lesson to be learned here. Had Champion been proactive and at the forefront of this soap opera, the story likely would never have been revealed. Common sense to me, but many others keep making the same mistakes when examples of doing the wrong thing happen time and time again.

This nonsense related to trying to give my money in exchange for a car is a real turnoff. I don't beg to buy stuff.

Just a little humor (and reality) above, but a thief is a thief. Shiraaz just exploited the above to his benefit to run his little pyramid ADM scheme until it was about to be exposed and ran away with the money sack.
Quite the stack. A visual on $2.5MM and change.

Some have money trees as they can afford high end cars.
SS had a COCA plantation that grew those green bucks, although illegally.

Article I had not seen before. Seems like a few new quotes.

A few snap shots:
^^ Like what did you expect?? Would committing fraud to customers ever get positive social media attention? DUH.
