Apparently there were a few that were early on that a few of the dealers local to me were being pretty quiet about. Doesn't seem to be a 991.1 gt3 fiasco by any means though.

Agree... no need for another Master of Panic.
Can't believe you made it two minutes! I got out after about 30 seconds or so.

Would be interesting if we could get some information
- Did the engines blow on the track or street?
- Were they PDK or manual?
- Were they early production vehicle?
Is it possible the owners did a “ money shift” that caused the engine to blow?
I wonder if this is owner error or manufacturing defect.

One guy had 260 miles on his when it went. That could be a record.

If you are serious, i wouldn’t freak out yet. The thing about the .1 GT3 was that the failure was always the same. In fact, besides the finger follower issue i think the only common failure on those cars was the thermostat. Besides that they are pretty rock solid. So before this becomes a real issue we need to have a lot more engines go due to the same problem.
Porsche is certainly analyzing the issue and inspecting the blown engines. I would think they would be more proactive this time around, if action is required.
