Me neither But I am really interested

I put a MGW in my Shelby GT350R but that shifter even though was rock solid in feel and made of billet everything too, had too strong of a centering spring and I ended up putting the OEM shifter back onto the car. I'm interested in the Numeric shifter for my GT3 also but don't want to deal with too strong of a self centering action. The GT3's stock self centering effort is just about perfect IMO, I am just looking for shorter and faster throws (especially during no lift shifts!!!).

I'm in the process of selling the Shelby now after buying the GT3 so I'm fresh from short shifter issues even though they do provide quicker shifts. Would love to try out the Numeric's feel before
going through the trouble of installing it though.

They did that after many people complaining but by then I already sold the MGW which also requires a hard push down to engage reverse which is also not as natural as OEM's pulling up a ****.

Numeric should kickstart things with a group buy for the shifter. Seed the enthusiast group so instead of everyone sitting on the fence it is just known to be a "must have" mod out of the gate. If there was a group buy of 10 could it get to $500? Normal price looks to be $700, though on sale at the moment for $600. (sorry if this isn't appropriate to discuss, I'm not sure the line for discussing pricing information here on the site)

Personally, I'm not hung up on the price. I'm hung up on tearing the transmission tunnel apart and messing with the shifter assembly on a $200K car. Greater risk vs reward. I doubt it will mess anything up, but I'd rather not be the guinea pig on this one. So until there are more reviews from people who've actually installed and used it on their GT3, specifically, I'm going to hold off.

FWIW I had the Numeric shifter in my 997.2 GT3. The difference is dramatic, I would characterize the difference as removing all the insulation and slop between you and the transmission. So it feels like you are guiding a metal rod through the shift gates and throws are shorter. In summary, shifts have a very precise, mechanical feel.
I would expect the same feel in 991.2 GT3.

Don’t think it will change that. If the shift is shortened, it will jump a smaller distance, but by removing slop, it will make the jumps more distinct (probably no real difference)...

I had numeric shifter and cables for my 996 Turbo and 997.1 Turbo (don’t have the cars any more). The shifter and cables combination is incredible and makes me wish every manual cars feel like that. I’m taking delivery of my GT3 ~April. I’ll definitely drive it stock for me a bit as I haven’t driven a manual GT car before. However, I suspect I’ll end up going with numeric shifter and cables. I currently can’t imagine the stock shifter giving the amazing direct, mechanical perfection feel.
I will report back when the time comes.
