You what's funny... I have a new 2RS and know pretty much everything there is to know about the 2RS and 3RS. Haven't had to put gas in it yet and didn't know this. I just walked out and looked and you are correct it has it haha.

Would it kill Porsche to provide an actual aluminum cap, instead of a plastic one that looks like aluminum?

That's where the 2 optional caps would come in: Titanium and Carbon Fibre versions at two higher pricing tiers

Buy one from Sunset or Suncoast, and take it with you from car to car. The teather is easy to change out.

sounds like a great idea... until you accidentally drop it while fumbling with it and it swings down and hits your fender (possibly chipping the paint). not worth the risk, even if you think you'd never drop it.

I also think the aluminum look is kind of cheap. would actually prefer the regular black plastic cap than a plastic cap masquerading as aluminum.
