Lies!!! Lizard will never be as good as Gelbgrun, simply because it's not PTS.

It's PAG offering something similar, but at the same time different. Both Miami and lizard are "special" colors that have pastel overtones. Mexico and gelbrun are Rich looking colors compared to the special colors. A tiny amount of people will choose Mexico over Miami or lizard over gelbrun. Since we all can't get PTS, hence the consolation prize.

Miami and Mexico are easy to tell apart. But Riviera and Mexico blues are very similar.

If you see both next to each other, most people won't be able to say for sure which one is which.

Thanks for the pics. I thought they were similar but your pics seems to show they’re the same color!! Makes me think I hit hit the jackpot with a $4k PTS car!!

Who knows; I could be stretching to see differences? The Lizzard looks a TINY BIT less bright/saturated. But my impression of gelbrum has been like someone painted a car in highlighter; so it's hard to get any brighter than that. It gives you the impression it would still be glowing if you turned out the lights. Both crazy bold colors; Lizzard 1/2 notch lower on the boldness scale. I have given thoughts to doing gelbrum before. I still contend Porsche has some of the coolest available standard/special colors they've had in decades. Zero doubt it's in response to the retro color pts craze; they aren't stupid; it's not by accident.

There is a difference. The LG has more yellow in it. For a comparison look at post #2401 in the GT3.2 RS thread.

These are the two pictures from Post #2401 in the GT3RS.2 thread. At least in this lighting, Lizard appears to have a little less yellow or a little more blue to me. Still very close, close enough that when separated it would be challenging to tell the difference without another reference.

Definitely a money maker for Porsche, PTS during the .1 generation was 4k. With Lizard Green at $4k they will get 30-40% of buyers to take the "special" color and they could never fit that many in a PTS window. Unfortunately for Lizard buyers, myself included, Porsche has a history of making "special" colors into standard colors in the next generation. Personally I hope this goes from "special" to PTS only.

Its hard for me to draw any clear conclusions on which has more yellow from that side by side car pic.

I guess sometimes color differences can only been seen by color aficionados. Just like audio. Some people can tell subtle differences, but most can't
