So we're clear... you don't have PPF on the car right?

Probably too lazy to grab a bolt and confirm sizes. My concern is the half dozen screws lodged in my air filter. I don't want to be on the hook for a new engine when those screws to get sucked past the filters.

you need to have this documented on their write up.
how this is n't under warranty befuddles me
you did not touch screw
screw fell
screw into air filter
risk of engine blow up
maybe i am in bad mood today, but why are these ppl so STUPID?
this is not rocket science.

Many years ago I worked for Nissan Customer Relations in SSF, then at local dealer. Some dealers just didn't want to fix cars under warranty, trust me. If possible, take car to another dealer. If they fix the problem, they get your repeat business. No money is made on just selling cars now. Warranty (Porsche pays) and retail service keeps the doors open. Why do you think dealers like CPO?

This is getting weird.

You know you can remove/replace the filters, and remove that risk, right? And that you can likely find replacement screws yourself elsewhere?

All you have to do is remove the back of the car (bumper) to get to them Never seen another car that required that measure to access engine air filters...

Is there access to stick a magnet on a stick (not sure of the technical term for that but I have one sold as a mechanics tool) down the intake to fish for screws? With a filter in place, I don’t see how they can get to the engine.

If you take a gander down this hole you can see the filter. Stick a magnetic retriever down there and see if you can fish out the screws. If you can't get your head in there, get a borescope from Amazon.

Yeah, kind of annoying that you need to remove the bumper. But that's how it is, what with the engine in the rear and all... Isn't it like that an all modern 911s?

nope, only started with the 991. The 996/997 have airboxes that you access by raising the rear deck lid, just like the air cooled 911’s.

Bumper removal for air filter change does sound strange and like a joke, but can be done in 30 minutes off and on with a helping hand only for
taking it off and putting it back with all screws removed. Lost screws can be fished as described, in my case all were absolutely tight.
