During a nice long (3 hr) spirited weekend drive, while cruising at highway speeds I felt a moderate, momentary, rear end lock up, maybe lasting half a second.
Not enough to unsettle the car, as I was on maintenance throttle on a rural highway, with the car tracking straight. No safety issues.
Then the instrument cluster showed the two following faults, and the faults would pop up every few minutes for the remainder of what was an uneventful hour long drive back home ... by the next morning, the faults had self-cleared.
Car has been absolutely stout and trouble free through its life... never an issue till this...
Anyone have this issue? Anyone have it diagnosed/resolved?
Any useful input would be helpful.

Fingers crossed on that one - could be any combination of things but hoping its just a code that is preventing it from operating correctly and nothing major. Have not heard of this previous either.
yes of course... going in Tuesday after the long weekend
just trying to leverage the knowledge of RL members who may have seen this...
best of luck, please update the thread on the outcome, this is my worst nightmare coming true - I have always had an irrational concern about the durability/reliability of RWS!!!
It may be a ride height sensor. Without sensor input the centering mechanism doesn't work. This is why you have the key on when you align the car to center the rear steering. Just a guess
rears "locked up" while on the freeway?
thats frightening
poor choice of words on my part... more like a momentary brake application, like someone jabbed at the brake pedal, or a momentary application of the parking brake... rear wheels did not skid or lock up
On my 991S I had the second of your faults come up and dealer determined it was the battery that had come loose...or so they said and charged me around $150 as it wasn't a "warranty" item.
