Default Rear camera turned on after hard braking
[I haven't checked my owner's manual yet since I'm at work]

Yesterday I did my first very hard brake on my 2018 GT3 (no ABS activation). I'm pretty sure the "adaptive" brake lights came on/flashed. However almost immediately my rear camera turned on...and stayed on even though I continued straight at over 25-30mph. Is this an expected result of hard braking with these cars?

I stopped the car and was able to hit the "Map" button on the navigation area to have it "go back to normal".

Never seen that happen. In my car, I hit the rear window defroster button twice and the rear camera turns on and stays on. Great for the track. Not sure that works with the 2018. Did anything loose hit the dash during the stop?

Does not work on the 2018

But if your car rocks back in the manual when in neutral the rear camera will go on. That is how I know if i do not have my foot on the brake if I start going backwards

That's a great hack; I would love that.
Anyone noted a trick like this for the .2?

I believe he had an aftermarket camera installed so they rigged it that way

I figure most of you track guys have braked significantly harder than me and would have seen this if it is the expected result. I'm concerned that something strange happened. I can always bring it back to the dealer since it is under warranty.

Sorry, doesn’t work on a 2018. I have a .1 GT3.

That works for the Nav-TV camera module. Nice trick they did, there's another sequence to turn on the front camera if you have one.
