Default TrackSpec Seat Recliner Brackets

Anybody try 'em? I know some folks are familiar with other options. But I'm curious about these.

I signed up for info on their website for the production ones since the prototypes are the only ones available for sale at the moment (I have no idea what prototype entails vs production)

These do not adjust with reducing or increasing the height from my understanding whereas AutoQuests do.. Going to do some research first and feel how the LWBS are in OEM format over a longer period of time then likely add an adjuster after I take delivery

I like the design of them. Do you Know what these will cost? The others at $150 per seat. Hope these are bit cheaper.

Same price. Looks like the prototypes are $104 per seat and $150 for the production ones.

I'm still waiting for the production version, then I'll grab a set along with the AutoQuest ones and maybe I'll put the TracSpec on one seat and AutoQuest on the other to compare.

Seat out, before install

Left side of driver's seat. Loosen 16mm nut and 8mm hex bolt

bolt out

Spacer inserts easily

Insert M6 bolt, M10 bolt, and original 8mm hex bolt. When using spacer the original hex bolt inserts in the OPPOSITE direction

Loosely screw on nuts. Tighten: M6 first (do not over tighten), M10 second, 8mm hex bolt third. I applied loctight to the 8mm hex bolt

view of driver's seat outside left

Everything is now Tight

Completed

The new angle is perfect on the road. So much more comfortable. I will report on comfort of harness and HANS after track days 4/28-4/29/18.

Thanks for the report Cormid, looking forward to your thoughts as you spend more time with these

I really like the simplicity of the design and install. If the stock/standard seating position in the LWBS bother me, I'm queued up for the production version as well (signed up via email for interest)

The spacers I installed are "the prototype" ones. Website says some filing may be required. None was...they fit perfectly right out of the package.

I asked TracSpec if the production version is ready yet and they said they have a batch of clear anodized ones ready to go pending fitment confirmation. And that they have a batch of black ones coming soon after.
