Default Are All 991 Center Caps Created "Equal"?

I was looking through Suncoast Parts and came across 911R style Center Cap - Silver Crest

On Details Section:

Genuine Porsche replacement center cap. With black background and silver Porsche Crest.Comes with one center cap, order as needed.

Fits the following models with Center Locking Wheel:
- GT3 & GT3 RS Models - 2014-2016
- 911 R Models
- 911 Turbo or Turbo S models with center locking wheels - 2014-2016
- 911 Carrera GTS or Carrera 4 GTS models with center locking wheels - 2014-2016

I noticed 2018 GT3 is not listed so I was wondering if 2018 GT3 use different sets of center caps.

Does anyone have any experience with retrofitting 911R center caps on their GT3?

I don’t know, but that style cap is on the 2018 touring so it should be no big deal to get the right one IF that one does not fit (I suspect it is the same).

Ah! I didn't know GT3 touring comes with silver crest cap! Thanks for the info!~ I guess I just have to wait until GT3 Touring becomes more prevalent.

I am sure suncoast or your dealer can get them now.

The thing is, when I reached out, Aldo from Suncoast notified me that this particular silver crest center cap will not fit.

Humm. That’s odd as suncoast shows it under 991.2 GT3. Did you ask for one from a 991.2 GT3 touring to see if it is the same?

No I haven't, because I didn't know GT3 Touring comes with 911R Silver Crest Caps until you told me. =(

Tomorrow is another day. Let us know what you find out. The Silver crests were a touring selling point to me. I find the GT3 and colored crest ones ones garish (plus my 993 colored crests have faded to pink ....).

For what it’s worth the locking bolt is the same part number for the .1’s and .2’s, that would tell me that the caps are all the same for the 991’s. PET also lists same part numbers for the caps.

*Drool* Are they Aluminum Satin Wheels? They look wonderful. Would help us greatly if you take your time showing us the back of the cap and its dimensions so that we could scientifically conclude they are indeed created equal.~ =D

Thanks for sharing your car!

... sigh... Is THAT a satin alumnium wheel?... At this point, I just can't tell the difference... But I do love the porsche crest in any color more than GT3 caps. More distinguishable and elegant.
