991.2 GT3 RS allocation thread

I wish i was starting this thread with an actual allocation. I'm not, but I do have some info and it would be good to have one place to track how allocations are coming out so we can try to get a handle on our chances of getting a car.

My OPC sales manager called me today to say they had just been given 3 allocations for the GT3 RS. I have had a £10k deposit on for 4 years but this is unfortunately not long enough for me to get one of those 3 cars. If there is a round 2 of allocations for production after the summer break then i may get one of those. Last time round they had 8 or 9 cars so if the same happens again then i will be ok.

If you get an allocation please put it on here and state which market you're in. I'm in UK.

On the Rennteam site, a poster who claims to have the production figures for all the GT cars states there will be only 1400 RS’s produced. According to his information, no GT cars will be produced in 2019.

How does that compare to last RS? Does anyone know the numbers?

Will Porsche lower the allocations to the US in response to Trump's proposed steel tariff? We know that many countries are screaming for more RS allocations.

nick, I think that chart is just a WAG. All those numbers are just guesses. And there will be RS cars produced into 2019.

It did look authentic. :D:

But I am serious about German auto manufacturers reducing allocation to the US. Let me explain. Presently the EU is deciding on tariffs for several US products to retaliate. Trump has stated if they do, he will raise tariffs on European cars. European auto companies like Porsche don't need the aggravation of trying to price the cars taking into account tariffs and possible other duties he may impose. He is totally unpredictable. They may say, China, France, the UK and so on are begging for allocations. Why not redirect the allocations and not have to deal with Trump? Far fetched? Don't underestimate the possibility.

There must be a lot more to it as the US already pays the least so you would think they are incented to redirect as many cars as possible to the other more profitable markets. Factor in the legal, regulatory and liability costs of the US and you wonder why they would send anything more than excess supply our way.

I'm in the market in an RS allocation for October - November delivery but will consider other dates... Has to be PTS through. Willing to pay a reasonable ADM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dealer was trying to get info on allocation for me; after talking to Porsche HQ he seemed to indicate it was likely going to be a Q4 build, so perhaps there's something to this filter thing with EU getting early builds and then switching to US builds later.
