Default PAG GT3RS Email Easter Egg?

Just got an email blast from newsletter@news.porsche.com with Subject: Challengers wanted. The new 911 GT3 RS.

My MacOS Mail program pre-displays a few "lines" of the email and seems to pick out text strings even if they are non-displaying text.

So my preview tempted me with: Erases the overconfidence of the underqualified.

I looked at the raw message source, but I am not sure what the programmers had in mind here ... perhaps it is an internal marketing tag-line? /jk
{ display: none !important; }
< / style >
< div class="preheader" style="font-size: 1px; display: none !important;">Erases the overconfidence of the underqualified.< / div >

I'll own it .. sure, I *am* under-qualified!
But my 3RS inspires overconfidence

Haha mine shows the same thing on the mac email program. That is funny. Not sure the purpose there. Wonder if it is a lost in translation from PAG to PCNA

LOL. The only way it makes sense is that the term "underqualified" refers to the cars, not the drivers. As in "The GT3 erases the overconfidence of all other (underqualified) cars". No?

That is how I interpreted the email. The GT3 RS wipes the cocky smile off other under qualified cars.

What I don't understand is why they sent the email out if PCNA has not issued any allocations and when they do certainly not enough to meet demand. Its nothing more than a tease and a cruel one at that.

I still think Erases the overconfidence of the underqualified should be a new PAG-sanctioned GT3RS meme ...
... whatever the hell they intended (and I'll grant that maybe there's a German-English translation hiccup) ...

GT3RS - That first time you spin it into an Armco: Erases the overconfidence of the underqualified

GT3RS - When you crack the one-piece (one PET #) inner wheel liner: Erases the overconfidence of the underqualified

GT3RS - ...

Wow 10 HP per cupholder. If we just add cupholders to any GT#/RS will we get a similar power bump? Seems like a cheap mod.

Thanks for clarifying this ... I was mistakenly under the impression the cup holders only added 5 additional HP / holder. PAG & PCNA needs to rethink their Big Gulp cup holder philosophy IMHO.

"Dear Porsche Enthusiast,

The new 911 GT3 RS is here. A thoroughbred sports car. A sporting challenge. Lighter, faster, and even more powerful. The quintessential rounded Porsche body and the angular wing create an exciting contrast. New features, like the NACA air intakes on the front lid, provide optimal ventilation cooling the motor and brakes without negatively impacting the drag coefficient.

Are you up for the challenge?"

The tried and true response:

Hope they realize that I'm up for the challenge.

I'm a little skeptical that those NACA ducts on the hood/bonnet are remotely functional on the (street) car ... how the hell are they going to route air from those to either the (front) brakes *or* radiators (and not impinge on the frunk space)?
